  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons real maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon bourbon
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter plus more for the pan
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Mix the Dry Ingredients:
    In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Combine the Wet Ingredients:
    In another bowl, whisk milk, maple syrup, bourbon, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Make the Batter:
    Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined—do not overmix. A few lumps are okay.
  • Cook the Pancakes:
    - Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
    - Add a small pat of butter or oil.
    - Pour ¼ cup batter per pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook another 1–2 minutes.
    - Repeat with remaining batter.
  • Serve and Enjoy:
    Stack pancakes high, top with warm maple syrup, bourbon glaze, and your favorite sides.
